My name is Ashleigh and I want to be a HEMS faculty rep because I am passionate about the health profession and want to make positive changes to support our learning and ultimately make us better health professionals for the future. 

I want to create more open channels of communication between students, staff and placement areas. 

I wish to supplement our learning by updating the Canvas system and making it more useful. I want to make better use of our timetabled days in uni - let’s use our time here more effectively with well- planned sessions. I want to give us more practice exams and more examples for essay writing giving us a better chance of succeeding. 

Lastly, I want to make it easier for students to make suggestions and bring about changes, not only to their university course, but to their profession and industry. 

We are the next generation of healthcare professionals and educators - we have the power to make all the difference.
