What is Black History Month?

Black History Month is a celebration of Black History globally, and right here at ARU run by students in partnership with your Students' Union and Anglia Ruskin University! Our aim for the week is to bring students and staff together through a mixture of educational and celebratory events to honour the enormous contribution Black citizens around the world and here at ARU, and the impact they have made to our vibrant and diverse society.

What's on during Black History Month?

Each year we put on a month of events to celebrate the diversity of our community and allow you, the students, to share your passions and interests. This year an amazing panel of students including your very own BME Rep in Cambridge, and Vice President of AHSS have created all sorts of incredible events  including a movie night, unsung heroes blog, library resources, an amazing open mic event and much, much more.
