We celebrated the fantastic teaching that happens all year around at Anglia Ruskin due to the dedication of ARU’s wonderful staff team. This year we received hundreds of quality nominations, recognising the amazing work of staff at ARU.

“This person has shown the most genuine and approachable tutor commitment. This person has an infectious personality that makes a difference to your mood the minute she is in your company. Her outgoing, personable character has made a real impact on my academic experience and she will be someone I look back on in future years as making a tangible difference to my life and career. I cannot thank her enough for all she has assisted me with over the past 18 months. Her contribution has been invaluable. Thank you so much. I will miss you as my academic experience ends this year.”

EXCELLENT MODULE: "The module that won this award has provided the opportunity for students to learn about their subject area whilst suitably preparing them for the working world. It is felt that the module is under-represented by traditional governing bodies in the UK despite the fact that it is a highly relevant and applies itself perfectly to the real world. This module has been described as both engaging and encouraging to students to take part in deeper study. The teaching of this module has provided many wonderful guest lecturers to discuss and share different areas of the subject area. Students believe that doing this module has given them the edge in finding employment opportunities." This years’ winner is CONSUMER ANALYSIS (FSE)

INCLUSIVITY AWARD: "The winner of the Inclusivity award is known for the diversity and inclusivity of their teaching. Their teaching is intersectional and the delivery is always varied so everyone’s needs are catered for. They go the extra distance to email students with additional reading and other information about the campus and local area. They will also be available to students during out of office hours to support them with the assignments." The winner is... MIRNA GUHA

SPECIAL RECOGNITION: "The winner of this award is someone who is described as an asset and the heart and soul of Anglia Ruskin. They are a great lecturer and an amazing source of support for students. They ensure that the teaching they delivery is clear and will always be around to answer any questions. This person will take the time to meet everyone’s individual needs and listen to every problem and success. They have created a community within the course they teach leaving everyone feeling equal and valued. They do everything they can to make sure the students have access to the facilities and resources they need to succeed." The winner is CHRIS DRAPER

Made a Difference Awards are student led, co-ordinated by the Students’ Union, and are all about students recognising fantastic, inspirational and life-changing Anglia Ruskin Staff. What makes a truly amazing student experience is identified through the nominations and this feedback contributes to improving all areas of our University.
