Whether you’re a new or returning student at ARU we have something for you in freshers week! If you’re new on campus we have some wonderful activities going on to help you settle in, make friends and get your university life started the right way. Returning student? Find out what fun we have planned this year for you.
This is your chance to talk to over 50 course and interest based societies, over 20 Team ARU sports clubs and find out about numerous volunteering opportunities that are available to you to take part in alongside your studies.
The Students' Union are there to ensure that you make the most of your time at ARU.

Can’t get enough of Disney’s magical range of movies? Join us for a relaxed night at the movies. All you need to do is turn up, relax and enjoy the film!

Come and join us for a fun night of gaming in 92! We’ll have a whole host of games for you to play with new friends, from traditional board games to various consoles on the big screen, we’ve got something for you, whatever your gaming style. In Chelmsford, 92 is the place to be! Swing by for one of our delicious burgers or come grab a drink with some of your mates. With a wide range of entertainment being show such as Champions League football, Box Se Thursdays, Karaoke and Friday Feeling to name a few.

Cambridge Freshers' Week 2019:
Freshers week is a fantastic opportunity to get settled in at ARU. We know that starting university can be daunting but your Students' union is here every step of the way, holding activities to help you make friends and get to know your campus as well as being on hand to tell you all about the amazing services and opprtunities we offer - all there to make your student experience amazing.
It’s one of our biggest events of the year – a perfect way for you to get to know more about your Students’ Union and the societies and activities you can take part in. This is your chance to talk to over 70 societies, so make sure you say hello to as many as possible!
Team ARU will also be at the fair, letting you know about all of the brilliant sports teams and sporting activities that you can be a part of. We’ll also be joined by
