LodeStar Festival will be entering its sixth year in 2014, with festival dates being 29th to 31st of August. Just 15 minutes from Cambridge, the site covers 220 acres with a 30,000 licence.
There are various opportunities for volunteers and interns all year round, which include event management, administration, website design, art and illustration, creative décor, sound and lighting technicians, project management, media and PR, photography and video, advertising and marketing, First Aid, health and safety, environment work and general assistance at the festival including stewarding. All who choose to be involved help to sustain the charity support LodeStar freely offers, many charities have been and are health related including ACT (Addenbrooke’s Hospital Charitable Trust) CLIC Sargent and other local support groups for individuals. This is a great opportunity to be part of a very interesting project to put on students' CVs! Varied work and responsibility offered and networking with professionals.
