Following recent articles in the national press, the Union would like to reaffirm it's support to fostering a campus environment that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for every student.

The Union exists to represent and support all students, providing them with safe, inclusive spaces to explore shared interests, build community, and learn from one another. This includes ensuring that every society, whatever its focus, operates within clear guidelines around safety, consent, and respect.

All registered societies must adhere to our code of conduct and Union policies, which strictly prohibit any activity that is unsafe, discriminatory, or non-consensual. Stalls at the Welcome Fair are intended to give students an overview of the wide range of communities available on campus.

We understand that conversations around topics such as kink and sexual expression can provoke strong opinions. However, education and open discussion play an important role in promoting safety, consent, and wellbeing - particularly for young adults navigating independence for the first time.

The Kinkster Society is a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to exploring and celebrating the diverse world of fetish and kink. Their mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and educational environment for individuals to learn about and engage in various aspects of their sexuality without fear of judgment.
