ARU SAFAF invites you to our debate: Should the UK Keep Its Monarchy? The discussion will examine whether the royal family remains a valuable part of Britain’s national identity, culture, and constitutional stability, or whether the institution has become outdated in a modern democratic society. We will explore arguments on tradition, legitimacy, cost, political influence, and public opinion, as well as what alternative models, such as an elected or ceremonial head of state, might look like. Attendees will have the chance to question, challenge assumptions, and consider the monarchy’s future role in the UK.
