Black History Month - Speaker Panel

Join us for the Speaker Panel event as part of the Black History Month celebrations. This inspiring event brings together voices from across our community to share their personal journeys, challenges, and achievements.

The topic is Resilience, and our speakers will talk about their paths to success, encouraging students to stay the course even when things seem difficult, because all the hard work will pay off in the end.

Invited Speakers:

  • Keynote speaker is Margaret Greer, the Mayor of Enfield - Labour since 14 May 2025
  • Abe Jawando, lawyer and Director of Sales at Mary Kay Cosmetics. She also co-runs an initiative supporting women in Nigeria facing infertility challenges and leads a mentorship programme empowering women in business.
  • Dr. Ijeoma Mathews  will share insights on resilience and success, offering students a great opportunity to network and learn from her experience.
  • Jumaane Xavier, Data Skills Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University London. As a member of the academic staff, he offers a relatable perspective and creates a comfortable space for students to engage and ask questions.
  • Tunji, the founder of an IT firm specialising in website management and technical support. He also mentors IT students through apprenticeship-style training, helping them develop practical skills and industry experience before graduation.
