Thakrithi 2025: A Vibrant Onam Celebration!

Get ready for an unforgettable Onam experience with the ARU kerala Society's "Thakrithi 2025"! This ticketed event welcomes all students, alumni, and friends for a day packed with cultural festivities and non-stop fun.

Date & Time: Saturday, September 20, 2025, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Ticket: £10 (includes all activities and a grand Sadhya, DJ and Chanda Melam )

Highlights:

 * 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Warm welcome and traditional lamp lighting ceremony.

 * 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Cultural performances, including dance, music, and an open mic session.

 * 1:00 PM onwards: Enjoy a delicious Onam Sadhya served in batches.

 * Post-Sadya: Relax and get ready for the games!

 * Games: Tug-of-war (separate for boys & girls), musical chairs, lemon and spoon race, sponge and water bottle filling, and more! Prizes for all winners!

 * 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Experience the energetic Chendamelam performance, a first at ARU!

 * 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM: Dance the night away with our DJ!
