The Law Society successfully organised another event on the programme "Talking with Future Peers," with guest speaker Hina Belitz. The society was delighted with the outcome of the event.

Hina Belitz is a highly experienced senior employment lawyer, author, and trainer, boasting a career spanning more than two decades.  She has led employment teams at several prestigious law firms in the City, such as DLA Piper, Dentons, and Pinsent Mason. Additionally, she served as the managing partner of her own law firm, Partners Employment Lawyers, located in the City of London, for a duration of 11 years. This law business is now a part of Excello Law.

Hina provides legal counsel to various entities, such as financial institutions, IT firms, service providers, property groups, charities, and educational institutions. Additionally, she offers her expertise to worldwide royalty and UK-based embassies, advising them on matters related to employment legislation and assisting with strategic decision-making at the board level. In addition, she provides guidance to senior executives regarding termination and settlement agreements.

She has personally handled the advocacy in more than 80 cases at the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, and the High Court, frequently collaborating with barristers to provide counsel.
The primary focus of her work involves collaborating with executive teams to provide guidance on employment law in conjunction with commercial strategy, so assuring the efficient operation of their businesses, particularly in situations involving layoffs, TUPE, and corporate reorganisations.

Hina Belitz engaged in a conversation with the members of the society to discuss her professional knowledge in the legal field, specifically focusing on employment law. Furthermore, she discussed the potential challenges in the realm of employment law. Hina presented her accomplishments and provided guidance on how students might successfully apply if they choose to follow this path.
