Once again, the Law Society was a general sponsor of the London Legal Walk. The event is a regular fixture on the legal calendar and a fantastic illustration of what the legal profession can accomplish when it collaborates. Never before has it been more essential to raise funds to help provide life-changing legal advice and representation to those in need.
This year, 16,000 people participated in the London Legal Walk, making it the largest in its 19-year history. Together, we have raised £800,000 to support frontline organisations providing free legal advice.
We are participating in a fundraising walk alongside the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of attorneys to benefit the London Legal Support Trust. The London Legal Walk is the largest fundraising event for free legal advice and support services, including Law Centres, Citizens Advice, and refugee-specific support services.

In the United Kingdom, over 13.4 million people live in destitution, and advice providers are at capacity due to the rising demand from clients. We believe that everyone should have access to legal counsel when they need it the most, as many individuals cannot afford it.

The London Legal Walk raises vital funds to ensure that legal aid reaches the most vulnerable members of our community. Receiving sound legal counsel at the appropriate time can make a significant difference in people's lives by reducing their likelihood of experiencing debt, destitution, homelessness, exploitation, and discrimination.

Over 100 legal advice agencies in London and the South East are supported by the event.
This year, the team representing Anglia Ruskin University London Law Society was comprised of:
Alena Mineva, Anita Strashimirova-Sharif, Cintia Cabral, Dani Sapundzhieva, Danni Howe, Emel Ozturk, Hasan Kamruzzaman, Khushdeel Raza, Leao Marquez, Lilia Grimalschi, Lukasz Kusiak, Malik Nawaz, Mariama Fatajo, Miriam Darlyn, Oana Maria Shega, Olga Hrabatin, Rahma Thabit, Sabina Erika, Tayyab Khan.
