ARU Students’ Union stands in solidarity with students affected by conflict, unrest, and humanitarian crises around the world.

We are deeply concerned by the escalating tensions in regions including India and Pakistan, Israel and Gaza, Ukraine and Russia, and other parts of the world. We recognise that these are not distant issues, they impact our community directly. Many of you are worried for loved ones, feeling the emotional toll of ongoing conflict, or facing disruption to your studies and wellbeing.

In these challenging times, we want you to know; we see you, we care, and we are here to support you.

Where We Stand

1. Peace and De-escalation

We join the global call for diplomacy, dialogue, and the de-escalation of violence. Armed conflict causes deep and lasting harm, particularly to young people, families, and marginalised communities. We urge all leaders to prioritise human dignity, safety and peace.

2. Solidarity and Belonging

We are a diverse and inclusive community. Wherever your home is, whatever your background or beliefs - you belong at ARU.

We reject all forms of harassment, hate speech, and discrimination on campus, online, or beyond. Together, we will uphold our shared values of respect, care and inclusion.
