Volunteer of the Month Criteria

Volunteers of the Month Criteria

  • There will be a winner for each award per month in Cambridge and Chelmsford, subject to nominations
  • Students are eligible to win an award once every trimester
  • The role a student is being nominated for must be both unpaid and voluntary
  • The volunteer should have created a volunteering profile through the Students’ Union, or will be prompted to do so
  • The volunteer should have logged hours on their volunteering profile, or will be prompted to do so
  • Whole Committee’s/ Societies' that are nominated will not be accepted, as we are celebrating individual volunteer’s

The volunteer has:

  • Gone above and beyond what is expected of them;
  • Demonstrated exceptional commitment, dedication and effort;
  • Made a difference to their own life or the lives of others; and/or
  • Made measureable change or impact
  • Been an inspiration to others

Committee Member of the Month
  • The winners of this award will have been volunteering as a committee member of a recognised club or society
  • Only current students can be nominated
  • All current students and staff can nominate
Rep of the Month
  • The winners of this award will have been volunteering as either an elected Course, Campaign, Faculty or Postgraduate Research Rep or National Conference Delegate
  • Only current students can be nominated
  • All current students and staff can nominate
 

Recognising our Volunteer of the Month Winners

All winners of the Volunteer of the Month Award will be awarded a Volunteer of the Month certificate, a branded ARU Students' Union Chilly's water bottle and a grey course rep hoodie (Course Rep of the Month winners only).
