ARU Kindness Hour

We have a strong kindness culture at ARU with many students being regular volunteers, activists and just generally kind human beings!

After the world collapsed and everything moved to Zoom we wanted to find a way for our kind community to come together. We created weekly socials called Kindness Hour where every week we do a different activity helping an important cause. We have been signing petitions, knitting clothes for premature babies and making cards for those affected by self-isolation. It has been a lot of fun and we want to continue it through this academic year.

At this event we will hold a Kindness Hour social (finally being able to meet in real life!). We will get to know each other a little better and learn about how we can be kind to others, our environment and our communities.

It is a great opportunity to get involved in something important and really make a difference to your community during your time at ARU.

Key points:

This event will take part outside (weather permitting) and will assume all up to date government guidelines on social distancing.

Meet us outside the Students' Union, Peter Taylor House at 12pm
