What is henna and where did it come from?

Henna comes from a flowering shrub that has many uses. The leaves can be used for perfume or if the leaves are ground into a fine powder it can also be used for henna.

Where does it come from?

The exact origins of henna tattooing aren't clear, however the tradition dates back as far as Ancient Egypt. It was said that Cleopartra used henna to adorn her body.
