Based in Cambridge and Chelmsford and run by the Students’ Union Volunteering Service! We are celebrating the best things about being a volunteer or becoming a volunteer!
If you are new to the game we will have loads of opportunities for you to come and give volunteering a go in a non-committal way!
These range from:
• Volunteer Fairs
• Group Volunteering
• Tours of the City
• Greenhouse Sessions
• Helping a social enterprise
• Small workshops
• Come and say hi sessions – where you can meet the volunteering team
If you are a seasoned volunteer don’t worry we haven’t forgotten you! We will be signposting you to places in which you can display your amazing volunteer work.

• Sessions on how to log your Volunteering Skills & Hours
• Bronze, Silver and Gold Volunteering Awards
• Nomination for the SU Awards
• Start the Anglia Ruskin Employability Programme for an accredited qualification

The prize draw – if you have logged the skills and hours needed for a silver award your email will be dropped into a prize draw for a £20 Amazon voucher!
The competition - #svw2016 and #ivolunteerbecause… will be running all week, if you tweet or tag us in a Facebook photo, stating why you volunteer, your picture will be placed in a competition for the most likes or shares. If you are the winner of your campus for likes and share you will win a £25 shopping voucher of your choice! But you must use the hashtags to be entered!
