MANIFESTO

Hi, my name is Nithin Raj Govindan Krishnan, and I am currently working for the Students' Union. I am an international student pursuing an MSc in Supply Chain Management. After being elected as Vice President of Business and Law by the students, I took a year off. As a student officer and an international student, I am fully aware of the issues students face at university. In my vision, I would like to improve the university experience for students in every aspect.

What have I done so far?

  • Driving Awareness Campaign
  • Entrepreneur Talks
  • CV/ Interview Preparation
  • Working with university and union staff to make university policies more student-friendly.
  • The past year has been filled with almost every kind of event that allowed me to socialize with students and gain a deeper understanding of them.
  • Participated in university meetings as a student representative on various committees by consulting students on ways to improve the student experience.

What will I do?

  • Advocate for the rights of marginalized students and work to create a more inclusive and equitable campus environment.
  • Represent students in negotiations with university administration to ensure their rights are protected, including fair treatment and access to resources.
  • Encourage students to pursue their academic goals by providing resources and support for academic success.
  • Advocate for the rights of marginalized students and work to create a more inclusive and equitable campus environment.
  • Create opportunities for students to get involved in university decision-making and leadership through committees, clubs, and organizations.
  • Support students who are far from the university and missing lectures due to rail strikes. Lectures can be recorded, and travel expenses can be refunded, for instance.
  • Hold monthly Student Forums where students can address their ongoing issues directly with the Students' Union.
  • Organize social, cultural, and recreational activities to create a vibrant and inclusive campus community.
