MANIFESTO

Dear Friend,

My name is Nithin Raj Govindan Krishnan. I am currently pursuing MSc in Supply Chain Management from Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. I am contesting for the post of International Rep (Chelmsford).

I was involved in numerous social service activities in my native, where I organised events and social gatherings pertaining to social issues. I am a good organiser with essential leadership skills who believes that collective identity and voice resonates the loudest.

As an international student myself, I am aware of the challenges we face coming to the U K. To integrate into a new society, adjust to its culture and finding new friends are just a few of the issues that international students try to tackle. That is why I would like to step in as your representative to make your student life easier and enjoyable. I will increase the opportunities for international students to voice their concerns, find solutions, and work with the university to put those solutions in place.

If you would elect me as your representative:

  • I will organise more activities where International Students can meet up and socialise. My plan is to cooperate with the International Student Society to arrange cultural events and volunteering activities where cultural exchanges take place. These cultural events will be an opportunity for us to learn more about each other’s cultural background such as, language, cultural choices, tradition, movies, music and food.

  • I will campaign to bring awareness about the opportunities and rights that you have and provide equal opportunities for International Students.

  • I will make international students part of the conversation with the university to provide more internships and to broaden the scope of employability.

  • I will provide unambiguous and clear information to new international and visiting students on the academic transition from their home country.

  • I will take care of your personal needs. As a representative for the International students my priority is to make your voice heard. I will be happy to receive any complaints you may have regarding your studies and I will do my best to solve them. You are also free to evaluate my job as your representative and suggest how I can improve myself.

  • I will also strive for our brilliant athletes and sportspersons and ensure that their talents get noticed and recognized by the University, thus paving way for them towards the University team.
