Candidate for the position of B&L Faculty Rep (Cambridge)

ABU SURESH (FORERUNNERS)

My name is Abu Suresh, I am presently an International Business Management student in Anglia Ruskin University and I have given nomination for Business and Law faculty Rep.

However, my manifestos are as follows :-

  • To ensure that students from across my department have the opportunity to voice their thoughts, ideas and opinions through me.

  • To carry all students along equally.

  • To work closely with the lead departmental representative and other relevant

    department staff and students representatives on things affecting all students in our department, working on ideas and solutions to students feedback to make the university experience the best it can be.

  • To propose more positive changes on representation systems based on students feedback.

  • To attend meetings with my Head of Department and other relevant staff to work on ideas to improve students’ life in my department.

  • To regularly obtain feedback from students about how they engage and how they would like to engage with the student’s representative processes.

  • To maintain students’ individual accounts, replying to emails and queries at any time.

  • To attend the departmental committee meetings to look at the departmental wide

    picture with the Head of Department and the programme leaders in attendance.

  • To help through representation in influencing the improvement towards students

    satisfaction at the departmental level.

  • To uphold and maintain core values of the students representation and be an

    ambassador for the same.

  • To refer or signpost students with individual issues to appropriate sources of help as

    necessary.

  • To offer a general help to students within the scope of my duties.
