- Having had to be self-sufficient for both my BA and now MA, I know how as a student you can stuggle both financially and emotionally. I want ARU students to have more access to support (scholarships, bursaries, hardship fund) and services at their disposal.
- I am passionate about books, music, film, photography and many other art forms. I am also very proud of wearing the ARU top. I want to create an annual Anglia Ruskin Literay or Arts Prize. This will bring out more great talent, recognise and encourage new works and give our university a key presence in the creative arts world.
- There are many amazing societies, groups, events, employment opportunities fostered from within ARU, and volunteering associations with the SU and local/national organisations. These play a very important role on inclusion and peer spirit. They can be very rewarding too. Gaining self-confidence, experience, making some money, meeting new people, making new friends, prepares and complements your life after uni. I wish to promote and encourage student participation on these.
- I want to encourage a more environmentally aware culture on campus. Our generation has the responsibility to act against the alarming effects of global warming. What can we do? Reduce plastic usage and replace with re-usable, biodegradable materials. Organise and participate in awarness events: the destruction of rainforests for farming purposes, sea pollution, extinction of species and natural habitats, are all connected to our habits as consumers. Work on solutions that may reverse the trend.
I am not DelusionARU, I am VisionARU
