Hey, I'm Blessing. I'm a Graphic Design student in my final year and I would love to represent you as Vice President for AHSS!

I'm familiar with the Student's Union through various roles, including running societies, being a rep for my course and campaign rep, for BME students, and volunteering as a graphic design volunteer for charity organisations.

I'm passionate about improving student lives and making the university a better place for those studying here.

Here are the key things I'd like to work on for everyone!

  • 24hr student access to Compass House and Mac Suites

    • Providing more out-of-hours access to students who require these facilities, especially those who can't afford professional software or equipment.
  • Expanding BME network at ARU to bridge gap between students and improve BME mental health awareness

    • The BME network would be a community to build connections between BME students at ARU and to ensure their voices are heard.
    • Raising awareness about mental health and encouraging BME students to be more open about this without feeling ashamed.
  • More resources to improve society skills

    • Making booking process easier and providing access to facilities for societies to hold workshops and improve their skills.
    • Highlighting the employable skills gained from being in a society and providing online resources for society members.
  • Consistency with online course content

    • Improving the relevant course information available for students online through Canvas.
    • Ensuring students feel they can contact their tutors appropriately and access course content in line with taught sessions.

For this election I am teaming up with:
