CCAT Boat Club

Welcome to CCAT—Anglia Ruskin’s Boat Club!

Are you interested in rowing? Have you rowed before? We’d love to hear from you!

In recent years, CCAT BC has enjoyed many successes on and off the river! Our club is one of the largest in active sports here at the University. In 2006-2007 we ended the year with three women’s and three men’s crews.

If rowing isn’t something you’ve tried before, don’t worry—we’ll show you how! We’ve got an excellent support system within the club and very enthusiastic coaches!

At present, our very competitive first and second crews have won numerous events not only in Cambridge, but in Bedford and Peterborough regattas as well! Every year, we send our first crews to compete in London at the Head of the River races where crews from all of the country and in Europe travel to compete! Last November, our first Novice women even won the Clare Novice Regatta against all the Cambridge University novice boats!

If you’re not keen on competition, we also have crews which train and row just for fun!

Among the many things CCAT Boat Club have to offer—an excellent social side is definitely among them! We not only organize dinners and cocktail evenings throughout the year, we attend cocktail evenings and formal halls at the Cambridge University Colleges. Whether it’s a night on the town, a themed fancy dress event, or a formal dinner to celebrate our success, we know how to bring life to any party!

If any of this sounds like your kind of club, please visit our website at www.ccatbc.com and shoot us an e-mail! We’d love to hear from you!
