The SU Byte currently goes out to just under 4,000 Anglia Ruskin students, every fortnight. Items for the Byte are expected by the Monday of a 'Byteweek' at the latest. The Byte is happy to plug SU Clubs and Societies events / games, important items from within the University, activities of specific student interest in the local area, charity events, exciting student discounts and student competitions. The Byte does not 'sell' commercial companies to students, though we will accept commercial banner ads. If you're interested in reaching our students through the Byte, please contact the team below.
The Byte team are responsible for ensuring that the Byte arrives in students' inboxes every fortnight and that the information is accurate and well presented.
Zoë is the SU's Membership Communications Coordinator. She's been with the SU Byte since the beginning and is now responsible for writing and assembling the Byte every fortnight. A cross-campus member of staff, she can be contacted about any news story or possible item for the Byte. Her skills extend to copy-writing, layout and icon design, formatting and testing the Byte. She also handles all marketing and advertising within the SU, so is an ideal port of call for any commercial promotional needs. She can be contacted on z.neville-smith@angliastudent.com or phoned (generally) on 01223 460008. She likes books and smoothies.

Jackson has a first name, but rarely uses it. He is our Sabbatical Officer with a stake in the Byte in his role of Communications Officer. He encourages all Sabbaticals to use the Byte to highlight issues to students and will champion the Byte to all students as an effective communications tool. And, if he doesn't, Zoë will kick his shins in. You can contact Jackson on j.jackson@angliastudent.com (and no, his first name isn't Jackson as well... though that would be cool) or phoned on 01223 460008. He likes films and, as Editor in Chief of the Apex, likes making the student newspaper awesome.
Thanks also go to Paul "Spike" Rose - Student Activities Sabbatical Officer from 2004-2006 who designed the original Byte and the 2006 upgrade, and without whom the Byte would not have been possible.
