The Student Representative Co-ordinators are delighted to announce that Liz Cracknell (Faculty of Health and Social Care) and Emma Clarke (Education) were nominated for the ‘NUS Course Representative of the Year’ in the 2008 NUS Awards. From the nominees Liz Cracknell (Mental Health Nursing - 03/06) was short listed and awarded runner up in this category.
The award recognises the achievement of a course representative from either the HE or FE sector who has made a significant contribution to the learning experience of others. There are literally thousands of reps across the education sector so this is an amazing achievement for them both.
Liz and Emma were nominated for their outstanding contribution to the student rep system and their fellow peers here at Anglia Ruskin University.
‘We have been very impressed with the outstanding commitment and quality of these students. These nominations are a wonderful achievement for the girls and very much deserved.’ Laura Holman (Student Representative Co-ordinator, Cambridge, Fulbourn and Peterborough)
Liz enjoyed a champagne reception and evening meal at the awards ceremony in Birmingham and celebrated the achievements of all the nominees and winners.
Well done to you both from everybody at the SU!
