Environment at Anglia Ruskin
Welcome to the environment pages, where you can find out about all things green on campus, as well as information on Fairtrade, and much more
- Remember to recycle you Christmas Cards at your Students' Union offices.
- Our Roots and Shoots Society do a lot of good work for the environment. They promote fairtrade and recycling. They operate a collection of non-perishable foods for Jimmy's Night Shelter, which helps prevent waste at the end of term when students go home and clear out their supplies. For more information on Roots and Shoots contact rootsandshoots_angliaruskin@yahoo.co.uk or visit www.srcf.ucam.org/curas/ruskin/
- For an alternative to throwing things at any time of the year take a look at the freecycle network. To quote the organisation "It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills."
- You can hand in your Stamps for collection in Cambridge and Chelmsford. Click here for how to you should recycle your stamps. The stamps will be donated to the RSPB as part of their save the albatross campaign. We also collect Tesco vouchers & Sainsbury's vouchers which we will be donating to local schools.
