Anglia Ruskin Students’ Union is changing and we need more help and input from our members to make this happen.

This is why we are recruiting two additional student trustees for the coming year: This is a crucial role in any organisation and the Students’ Union is no different. To make us more student focused we need more student trustees on this board. Below are some of the key functions of a student trustee:

  • Ensuring the Union acts in the best interests of students.

  • Monitoring the performance of the sabbaticals and Union management team – making sure they meet goals and budgets.

  • Discuss Union strategy and make sure decisions which are made keep the Union financially secure.

  • There are other functions however, these three are crucial to how the Union is run.

trustee

There are only 4 trustee meetings per financial year – so there is little time commitments.

We are very flexible about working around times and campus of study to allow anyone to be involved.

Come and make a difference to your Union.

National Student Survey Results 2008

The SU Perspective – September 2008.

The publication of the National Student Survey results for Anglia Ruskin University do not come as a surprise to the Students’ Union. The themes identified in this years result is part of a trend that has been growing over the last three to four years. These trends were identified in the Student Written Submission (2007) and have been articulated by students through Programme Committees, Faculty Boards and else where. This report outlines the Union’s interpretation of the results and sets out a number of actions that we believe should be implemented as a matter of urgency. Many of these recommendations are not new and have been put forward through various committees in the past.
