Sports Clubs and Societies Officer

Cambridge/Chelmsford

 

All part-time, elected Executive Officers shall:

 

  • work to further the union's objects and purposes as defined in the union constitution
  • help with the successful running of relevant campaigns and events including induction activities, and as directed by the Site Executive Committee
  • be an active member of the Site Executive Committee
  • carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the union's Health and Safety Policy
  • carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the union's Equal Opportunities Policy
  • carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the union's Staff/Student Protocol
  • consider the development of the Union's facilities and services as an integral part of their role
  • undertake other duties relevant to their positions as directed by the Executive Committee

 

In addition to the general duties outlined above, these part-time officers will have additional responsibilities outlined below:

 

  • represent the views and issues of members of all registered clubs and societies
  • help advise and train members of all registered clubs and societies in their effective organization
  • convene and chair the sports and Societies Forums as appropriate
  • work with Union Officers, staff and external organisations to promote sport, clubs and societies to all Anglia Ruskin students

I study BA Hons Media Studies...I am Captain of Swimming and Tennis Clubs...and also Netball Collegiate Captain...I took this position to keep promoting sport...to all abilities and due to my high level of sporting achievements can help people/clubs!
