What is the Executive Committee?

The Executive Committee takes control of the day to day running of the Union, making decisions on behalf of the students they represent. They debate issues on Finances, Clubs and Societies, Welfare Issues as well as any other relevent student issues.

 

Who are they?

 

The Committee is made up of 5 full time Sabbatical officers and 12 part-time officers. The Committee meets every month to discuss both academic and social issues concerning the Union and its membership (students).

 

How are they chosen?

All members of the Executive Committee are elected in Easter in a big election run simultaneously on both the Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses. The full-time officers are elected from both campuses and the part-time officers are chosen from the site specific campus. The part time officers role commences 5 days after the result of the elections in Easter and the full time sabbattical role commences from the 1st of July.
