Hello to all students, my sincerest apologies for the gap between this blog and my last one, we’ve all been busy. So what have I been up too, well lots really, as I’m sure most of you are aware we have just completed our fresher’s opinion poll which was a great success, the results from this will be online very soon and you will start to see the Students Union running campaigns on your chosen issue over the year.

I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you guy’s over the past month at various induction talks, fresher’s fairs and students union organised events. This has been absolutely fantastic but as you can guess very busy. So to make it easier to let you know what I have done here’s a list I made earlier

  • Attended an NUS Higher Education Funding Summit which launched ‘Broke
& Broken’
  • Helped and welcomed new students moving into halls
  • Gave welcome talks to international students
  • Hosted an international quiz in the SU bar
  • Attended NUS regional training
  • Gave several welcome talks
  • Gave talks on halls recycling campaign
  • Trained sports club and society committee members
  • Arranged a trip for students to London as part of the Give It A Go series of events

So over all I’ve had loads of fun and games hope to see you all soon
