The last two weeks have been just as manic as Fresher’s’ week as we have decided to hole the Regional Day of Action on the 5th November. With the majority of students telling us that we should be campaigning on Higher Education Funding what better way to do this than to hold a mass demonstration in the City who has two Universities at the extremes of Funding.

It is not just Anglia Ruskin involved students from Cambridge University, the University of East Anglia and University Campus Suffolk plus all local 6th form colleges will be descending on Christ’s Pieces at 12pm on the 5th November to hear speakers talk on the issue and following this a second demonstration behind Queen’s college at 1:20pm where NUS president Wes Streeting will be speaking on how unfair the system is.

This should be a fantastic day and the more people attending the better and the more we can make an impact- there will be plenty of ways to show your dissatisfaction with the system. We will be holding walls of debt in both Cambridge and Chelmsford for students to write how much debt they are in and also releasing biodegradable balloons on the 5th November.
