The Tour De France

In 2014 the most famous and spectacular cycling road race of all the Tour de France will be making its way to Cambridge and Chelmsford.

Every year the first stage of the tour is held outside of France; to extend it global reach and in 2014 we will be lucky enough to see it in two of the homes of ARU. The tour is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet and with it demands huge crowds, excitement and of course people to make it happen.

On the 7th of July 2014 the event will be starting from Parkers Piece with entertainments, exhibitions and atmosphere. They will start on Gonville place before riding through the streets of Cambridge; through to Saffron Walden and Chelsmford before finishing on The Mall in London.

CONGRATULATIONS! To all the volunteers that got through the application process for the tour we are all incredibly proud that you are volunteering at a global sports event.

But to those not volunteering be there on the 7th of July in Cambridge on Parkers Piece for the start or find the route timings HERE to see where you can see the pelaton fly past!

Make Sure you don't miss out!!!
